Relax on the deck and watch the changing seasons bring active life to the lake. Hear the water rush down from the mountain known as the 'spring runoff' after a snowy winter. View the beautiful merganzers (white ducks) that fly in the spring sometimes by the hundreds, and perch on the lake for weeks. See the gorgeous reflection of the changing leaves on the mountain as they reflect on the lake late in the fall afternoon sun. In the summer, watch the canoes and kayaks gently glide by your view from the deck. All so peaceful; all so beautiful. It's hard to believe that it's only 1 hour from Manhattan.
